User-Manager
The Dungog User-Manager system allows an administrator to delegate access to the Server-Manager, plus it provides some extra functionality provided in separate modules (RPM packages).
Installation
As root install the base plus modules of your choice:
yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-userpanel smeserver-userpanels smeserver-vacation
You may not need to reboot as it suggests, but it would be a good idea if it's after hours.
Here are some of the GPL'd modules available:
- smeserver-remoteuseraccess
- combined shell access & chroot ftp
- smeserver-userpanel
- just the userpanel
- smeserver-userpanels
- panels for forwarding, password, backup, useraccounts
- smeserver-vacation
- server-manager & user-manager panels
- smeserver-mailsorting
- procmail & maildrop userpanels
- smeserver-dansguardian
- daemontools /init / squid / masq files
Configuration
Once you finish the installation, open the Server-Manager and look for the new User Panel Access option under Security.
You'll need to configure what panels you want to make available to whom. I suggest changing the Global setting to allow access to the following:
- userpanel-password
- userpanel-forwarding
- userpanel-vacation
Then just publish this URL to all users:
https://servername/user
Modify User-Manager Panel
I don't even remember why I wanted to do this...
Edit the following file:
/etc/e-smith/web/panels/user/cgi-bin/userpanel-initial
