Admin Password
Perform all configurations via web interface using 'root' username and admin password.
Default admin password is ‘default'.
PPTP VPN Server Configuration
Make sure that the local and remote network IP addressing is different. (ex: 10.0.0.0 and 192.168.1.0)
To enable Network Neighborhood-style network browsing, add the following line to the file options.pptp:
ms-wins 192.168.1.2
Be sure to use the IP address of the WINS server of the network being dialed in to.
Note: Newer versions of firmware now have a WINS server field in the DHCP Server configuration section. You may want to verify if it works properly by manually checking the config file. Check for duplicate entries that may not be correct!
PPTP Client Configuration
Set the workgroup on the remote PC to be the same as the LAN domain/workgroup name.
