The default backup configuration for SME Server is to use 'tar' backups. In order to enable interactive Flexbackup restores, you must reconfigure SME Server to use the 'dump' backup method.
Enter the following commands as root:
/sbin/e-smith/config setprop flexbackup Type dump
/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/flexbackup.conf
You can verify the configuration file changes like this:
cat /etc/flexbackup.conf
