These are some connection notes for using Telasip VOIP service with SAIL/SARK.  This is not intended as a complete howto, only a guideline.

Telasip typically does not enable international dialing by default.  If you want to make international calls, you will probably need to send them an e-mail and request they enable international dialing. 

Telasip Carrier Definition

Edit this before adding your Telasip trunk.

• Host URL
  • sip.sfo.telasip.com
  • Telasip is expanding coverage so sometimes the server they recommend is different
  • pick the one closest to you (lowest latency - ping)

• Registration Template
  • username: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • all lower case, no spaces

Create a Trunk

• Trunk DID or IP Name
  • Telasip phone number - 10 digits
• Open Inbound Route
  • Operator - or wherever you want
• Transformation Mask
  • :1520 1520520:1520 15201520:1520 1520011:011 15201:1
  • enables 7-, 10- and 11-digit dialing from 520 area code in US
  • Telasip always needs at least 10 digits
• Closed Inbound Route
  • Operator - or wherever you want
• Registration String
  • username: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • username, password and SIP server specified by Telasip for your account
  • all lower case, no spaces
• Outbound CallerID
  • Telasip generally sets your outbound CID to your phone number
  • to control outbound CID, you must request they not set CID
  • you must enable sendrpid=yes and enter a value for Outbound CID

• Route Dial Plans

  • allows 7-, 10- and 11-digit dialing, plus international
• Description
  • All Outbound Calls - or whatever you want
